Meet Greg
Gregory Scurto has been a lifelong entrepreneur with a history of establishing and operating sustainable small businesses. For more than 35 years Greg has been leading Scurto Cement, which is one of the largest concrete construction companies in the U.S. His career-long dedication to the development of better and more cost effective concrete slabs and pavements has produced significant improvements in every phase of their technology. This extraordinary experience has culminated to the recent introduction of Ductilcrete – a patented, dual layered, curling inhibited, minimally-joined floor system that doubles the slab’s live load capacity at no premium cost. Ductilcrete Slab Systems, which licenses its intellectual property to 25 alliance members throughout the U.S. and Canada, is rapidly becoming the preferred floor and paving system for major developers, users and owners. Ductilcrete was acquired by GCP Applied Technologies in October 2017. Mr. Scurto was featured in the January 2005 article in Concrete Construction Magazine as a “Contractor to Watch” and in 2010 Concrete Construction Magazine named Greg as one of the industry’s five “ Top Influencers.”
Mr. Scurto has also balanced his successful professional career with numerous civic contributions. From being an elected official to serving on the boards of charities, Greg has and continues to follow both his personal and business mission of sharing his good fortune and blessings with those in need.
